Studied by the Author since 1985, antediluvian civilizations launch a challenge to current science and the human spirit…
Three years were necessary to make it tower of planet, to count the least vestige, to study the least detail. Three years to gather this incredible mass of knowledge hitherto forgotten or ignored and to thus write this imposing work. Three years of work to learn, understand and finally reveal the one time reality which exceeds us by his splendour and its values morals revealed by Shenrap MIWO, the chronicler and PLATO the philosopher.
This work comes at the right moment named to succeed without complex fantastic the best seller of Ignatius Donnelly « Atlantis, the antediluvian world » finished by its author in 1882 and sold to more than one million specimens since!
After several years of research, Dominique JONGBLOED, writer - explorer - adventurer, proposes to us to discover what was this forgotten time of the Man.
« Atlantis… everyone, or almost, knows of them at least the general information and principal characteristics bus it was revealed by Plato there are two millet five hundred years. How much people on this ground know however that it was only the last of four greater civilizations of before the biblical flood?
Everyone thinks of knowing the myth of antediluvian civilizations, at least in its broad outline. It is an error there! Not an error on the form, since that as for any form the myth offered a body to this legend, but an error on the bottom because the reality of the history of antediluvian civilizations largely exceeds the myth, buries the legend, to exhume a truth even more incredible than the myth and attested today by the multiple archaeological discoveries which are exhumed everywhere on planet, almost daily. The Bible, itself, refer to these civilizations of before Noah. Which best witness than this one… if it were the discovery of the vestiges incontestably more old only oldest of civilizations until now referred! »
The author of this work could have been Ignatius DONNELLY, so much this one takes again its step and part of its method of approach… But it is however not the case.
The author, Dominique JONGBLOED, wanted to further go whom this large precursor founder from what the scientists call today new archaeology.
He wanted to explore whole planet in the search of answers on these thousands of vestiges hitherto unexplained or embarrassing for the contemporary archaeology which sees whole sides of its theories, for the majority centenaries, to break down at the rhythm of discovered increasingly undeniable.
The author thus passes to the screen the History, of - 150.000 with - 6000 years before the Present. He tries to understand why modern archaeology is on the defensive each time a discovery is made to which it cannot bring clear and clear answers.
Which are thus the psychological, historical mechanisms or policies which are set up as soon as an indisputable truth comes to call into question the beautiful building built by this science which the modern man believes very powerful?
The Author travels in Tibet and in the Asian area indo, in the search of Shambala. The veil of mystery which surrounded that which is regarded as the mother of all civilizations tore recently with the discoveries of Michel PEISSEL and Yuri SAKHAROV.
It explores the Arctic and Canadian north on the traces of (or of) legendary Hyperborée… and finds that and there indices which leave think that it (she) east cannot so mythical finally!
Its voyage in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific involves it of Pakistan to the Indian peninsula, from Sri Lanka in Madagascar, Australia to the myriads of strewn archipelagoes and to the Easter Island.
It updates the obviousness that a single civilization in this area of the world existed and shows its propagation on the two oceans.
It plunges finally in limpid water of the Bahamas and Cuba to note that the vestiges of immersed constructions are bels and quite artificial and that the hand of the Man is undeniable in the rise in these structures in spite of the attempts of negation of certain not very scrupulous scientists thwarted fortunately by other more honest researchers even if they are disturbed by what they discover then.
The Author works out a theory, through analyses, of studies and research, which highlights the indicating elements of the probable localization of these incredible civilizations whose most famous heiress is that known as “of the megaliths”.
It shows magistralement, by a meticulous study of the Egyptian « Book of Deaths », the way of migration which the survivors of the last antediluvian civilization took that we will call ATLANTYS and their role in the blooming of Egyptian civilization incipient in Nagada.
And as if that were not enough yet it brings, at the end of the work, the proof that a single language was spoken and written on whole planet for the antediluvian period of the World… what crédibilise then the metaphor of Babel and thus poses the bases of a new study on the unexplained writings”.
Extract of the foreword of the work, by Cristina BIAGGI, specialist in megalithic Prehistory, writer and artist
Dominique JONGBLOED has written a groundbreaking books that presents a unique and engrossing perspective on early human history.
He suggests that “civilization” did not merely start in Turkey (Catal Hüyük) and the Middle East (Jerico) as is commonly thought;
he makes a strong case for the existence of four prior ”antediluvian civilizations”: Shambala in Tibet, the Hyperborean civilization in the Arctic circle, Mu in the Indian or Pacific ocean and Atlantis, either in the Mediterranean or somewhere in the Atlantic ocean.
He congectures that these civilizations existed between 117.000 and 6.000 BP and were destroyed by natural disasters, probably floods.
His description and examination of these civilizations is the central core of the book – and a compelling one it is.
Using exacting studies drawn from the latest geological and oceanographical research, Dominique JONGBLOED describes in detail the rise and fall of the world’s oceans during the Middle and Late Paleolithic. During the numerous glaciations in the Pleistocene much of the ocean waters were frozen and the ocean levels were much lower than they are now; consequently, a greater amount of land was available for human and animal habitation all over the world.
With extensive research and photographs of the remains of architectural and artifactual features in the coastal waters around the world, the author makes a case for the existence of these early civilizations. Underwater ruins have been discovered close to shores all over the world ; in fact, they are becoming increasingly more apparent.
In addition to shifting coastal lands and lowered ocean levels, there is the question of numerous recorded significant catastrophes in the Pleistocene that affected civilization and geographical land masses including four major deluges between 117.000 and 6.000 BP. These events could have easily contributed to the appearance and disappearance of geographical features and civilizations.
An interesting point Dominique JONGBLOED makes resulted from his careful examination of ancient maps, which sometimes contained geographical features no longer present when the maps were actually drawn. For instance certain old maps show features such as coastal rivers, mountains and bays that are now found deep under the ocean. Why is that?
The author claims that these maps, based on much earlier maps, were in turn based on word of mouth concerning topographical features which was passed down from generation to generation before written history. I find this discussion very interesting.
The author spends a good deal of time discussing Atlantis which he claims was the “final” lost civilization (17.000 to 6.000 BP.) that seeded the subsequent European Megalithic Civilization. To me, this is his most compelling theory.
Atlantis has long been a subject of speculation and intrigue, with many diverging views on its location. While some experts agree with the Greek philosopher Plato who first wrote about Atlantis and felt that it was located in the Mediterranean, Dominique JONGBLOED conjectures that it was somewhere in the Atlantic and that perhaps the Canary Islands are Atlantean remains. His view is supported by recent discoveries of underwater ruins in the coastal waters around the Canary Islands.
The adventurer—explorer presents a strong argument that Atlantis culturally and artistically influenced the megalith builders of the coastal regions of Europe and North Africa. Coastal megaliths first appeared around the 5th millennium B.C., supposedly after the demise of the Atlantean civilization by a natural disaster. The author discusses his belief that around the time of the disaster, the Atlantean civilization colonized the shores of Europe, the north coast of Africa, Egypt and the Italian coasts. There is ample evidence in the Paleolithic for the prevalence of navigation, which lends credence to this belief.
Dominique JONGBLOED makes a convincing case for an Atlantean influence on the megalithic cultures of the early Neolithic when he compares the building methods and architectural features of megalithic monuments with some of the underwater structures in coastal areas around the world, especially in western Europe and the Mediterranean.
“I recognize, even though this is not very scientific, that a part of research in the archaeological domain resides on intuition” he writes. An example he cites is the work of Heinrich Schliemann, the great discoverer of Troy.
The writer examines in depth a number of engraved tablets from various parts of Europe and dating back from the 6th to 5th millennium B.C., all of which display an early form of writing earlier than Sumerian writing. Among these are the Tartaria tablets from the Vinca culture and the tablets found in Glozel, France.
According to Marija GIMBUTAS, archaeologist and authority on Eastern European archaeology, objects and tablets with similar inscriptions have been found in more than 1000 sites in Europe and constitute a proto language.
Because mainstream archaeologists are wedded to the current belief that writing started in Mesopotamia, the importance of these tablets and various objects displaying similar inscriptions throughout Eastern Europe has been largely ignored despite the existence of reliable dating and thoroughly documented provenance.
If one considers the intense research and numerous writings on the subject by respected archaeologists and researchers, it seems revolutionary to think that written language could have predated the Sumerians, long credited as the “inventors” of language.
The final portion of JONGBLOED’s book is devoted to an examination of the possible antediluvian language based upon ancient pre-existent languages and early inscriptions including the ones on the Tartaria and the Glozel tablets.
“To read ANTIDILUVIAN CIVILIZATIONS is to travel on an exciting journey through uncharted territory full of thrilling side trips and unexpected turns. Along the route, astonishing questions arise and interesting inferences are made. It is clearly evident that the author’s research was prodigious and documentation was thorough. The reader is left with more questions than answers - which makes for provocative and rewarding reading. Dominique JONGBLOED has written a pioneering and very readable work and I strongly recommend it.
